Your elevator pitch is a critical weapon in your professional revenue-generating arsenal. It’s your audition for professional attention, your calculated attempt to be noticed and to matter to others. The skills to develop a strong elevator pitch will serve you well, forever. It’s a set of skills most business people don’t fully understand, but covet. My mentor once said that if we truly believe that we are sons and daughters of God, we need not fear. To stand up and share our experiences, thoughts, and aspirations is a gift to our listener.
I remember an International Speech contestant who said that every time we stop trying, “a piece of God dies in us… a piece of God dies in us.” Another great speaker said that if we want to fly, we must first come to the edge…jump, and then fly.
